Larry Elder says it best, but here’s the gist:
Gasoline prices today are rising. Currently, the average in Los Angeles is $3.28. Industry experts are expecting it to go higher and possibly break $4 per gallon.
A similar scenario occurred a couple years ago when Bush was in office. Liberal critics of the President were quick to jump on him as the responsible party with foot-shaped-mouth leader, Nancy Pelosi leading the charge, saying, “The price of oil is at the doorstep; $4-plus per gallon for oil is attributed to two oilmen in the White House and their protectors in the United States Senate.”
Then-Sen. Barack Obama wanted the Federal Trade Commission to investigate Big Oil for “price manipulation,” and later urged the Justice Department to open an investigation into whether energy traders “have been engaged in illegal activities that have helped drive up the price of oil and food.”
So, Ms. Pelosi, Mr. Obama, where are your cries about the inaction of the President to curb gasoline prices?
Oh, wait, I forgot. It’s not what you say. It’s who says it.
