The other day, the White House (read: Barrack Obama) directed the US Department of Justice to bring legal suit against Arizona for their recent SB1070, anti-illegal immigration bill. Prior to this action, the White House and liberal critics held that the bill was racist because it promotes racial profiling. In the lawsuit filed, the DOJ glaringly makes no mention of race or racial profiling. So, that, apparently, is not really an issue.

No, the DOJ, in the lawsuit brief, maintains that immigration matters are reserved for the federal government. If this is so, where then are the federal lawsuits against sanctuary cities?

You see, the US government has several laws that regulate immigration to this country. The gist of these laws is that immigrants need to process paperwork in an appeal for permanent entry into the country. Sanctuary cities, however, blatantly contradict these laws and welcome immigrants who are in the country illegally.

So, Mr. Gibbs, spokesman for the White House (read: Barrack Obama), where are the lawsuits against these cities?
